I own a few Weissenborn guitars: An original H. Weissenborn, another one built by the Australian luthier Glenn Wilson, and one Superior (made in Mexico). But, as soon as it comes to recording - none sounds as good as my Hermann Guitars Weissenborn Style 1. Very amazing: It was the cheapest of all! Ermanno’s hand built Weissenborns start at €620.

The Italian luthier builds all kinds of lap steel guitars: Acoustic ones, like “Classical” Weissenborn ( 4 different styles), Kona, Teardrop, Weissenborn Dobro, Dobro guitars. And electric lap steels, hollow body, even some made of aluminium.
