H. Weissenborn Style 1

H. Weissenborn Style 1The mother of all Weissenborn style guitars, maybe 85 years old. A real vintage guitar!

Back, sides and top koa. Nice look, pretty good sound. Not as loud as my Italian Hermann Guitars Weissenborn.

I am not sure, but: For the price of one of these original guitar babys you will surely get a new one that sounds as good, maybe better. Anyway, its nice to have an original H. Weissenborn guitar!

Built by Hermann Weissenborn, Los Angeles - probably around 1925.

Hermann Guitars Weissenborn Style 1

Back and sides European walnut, top spruce. The same wood that the famous Stradivari violins were made of: Val di Viemme spruce. Maybe thats the reason why it sounds that great. At least that’s what Ermanno says …
Built in 2005 by Ermanno Pasqualato, Italy.

Glenn Wilson Hawaiatar

Glenn Wilson Hawaiatar Back and sides New Guinea Rosewood, top maple. My fat Australian Weissenborn - as deep as an acoustic guitar. Inside there is a K & K Trinity - 3 piezos and one microphone. Nice pickup-system.

Built by Glenn Wilson, Australia. Unfortunately he has no website, and Google does not find  much about this fine luthier.
